We moved here primarily because of the location and the fact that the house is both ultramodern but has plenty of individual character, which is a rare combination. We love being able to look out across the countryside and watch the local wildlife but still be able to walk into Canterbury in 20 minutes and, as we go to France regularly, we wanted to be fairly near Dover and the Channel Tunnel. There are plenty of lovely walks and cycle rides around us while the village of Bridge is only a minute away with its excellent pubs, shops and first rate primary school. We will be sorry to leave but we are returning to our home in France.
We love entertaining and have enjoyed hosting numerous parties here – we can have some 50 guests to a party and there is still plenty of room and, having a separate guest suite, means we are not all on top of each other.
It is very useful to have under-floor heating on the ground floor and the central vacuum and skirting board dust collection system is a real boon. We can also enjoy different coloured mood lighting and we feel very safe with the high quality security video systems installed around this wonderful, contemporary home.
