LOCATION Lliber, one of the smaller villages in the Jalon Valley is situated beside the river Xaló in the shelter of the Muntanyeta.

The streets of the old town make for a pleasant stroll. Its traditional houses preserve their natural stone façades, their old wooden doors and the enchantment and beauty of the architecture of the area, closely tied to the country and country life.

The neoclassic style Church of Sant Cosme i Sant Damià is at the centre of the village and it is worth walking as far as El Calvario to take in the magnificent views over La Vall. An agrarian landscape in keeping with the area's traditional products: grapes, raisins, mistela and wine, which depending on the time of the year, will paint the land with shades of red, green or yellow.

From the Llíber - Gata de Gorgos road, following the course of the river, you will come across a small sign indicating the way to Font d'Aixa, where you will find a traditional irrigation pond.

There is local Spanish school in Lliber with the secondary school 10 minutes away in the town of Benissa. Private International Schools are within a short 20 minute drive in the town of Javea, who also offer a school bus service.

Horse riding and golf are also activities that are within easy reach of Lliber.

In late January the whole of the Jalon valley floor is covered with a pink and white carpet of scented almond blossom attracting visitors from all over.  You´ll find that time and life in Lliber is not measured by a clock but by the slow ever changing colours of the beautiful countryside.

Despite its semi-rural setting, access to Lliber remains easy thanks to the AP-7 motorway being within 5-10 minutes.  Alicante airport is 1hr away and Valencia aiport 1hr 20 mins.  Denia is only twenty minutes drive from Lliber and from here you have a ferry service to Ibiza, Formentera and Mallorca. 

The surrounding mountains of Lliber offer a magnificent back drop to what is a stunning area of natural beauty with breathtaking landscapes offering a taste of “Real Spain” an area dubbed Costa Blanca´s “Jewel in the Crown” by the British travel press and with an average 320 days of sunshine  per year.

Extending from Alicante, the Northern Costa Blanca stretches for miles up towards the city of Valencia and within a short 15 to 20 minute drive from Lliber you will find a wealth of clean blue flag sandy beaches and coves to explore.
