Like almost every sector, the Corona crisis hit the Majorca property market hard last year. Lockdown, declining purchasing power and entry restrictions led to less sales closing in 2020 than in the immediate years pre Covid. But it didn't take long - the situation has already stabilised, interest in a property on the sunny island is growing again, especially the second home market.

Das zeigt die außergewöhnlich hohe Nachfrage seit Ostern: Inselweit verzeichnen Immobilienagenturen ein Umsatzvolumen, das in auch in Jahren vor Corona nur schwer erreicht wurde, vor allem im Premiumsegment.

The fear of inflation also continues to grow, and with it the desire for a future-proof capital investment in the form of a profitable property. With 300 days of sunshine a year and 25 degrees in December - you don't find this lifestyle in many places.

Wer schon 2019 an einer Immobilie interessiert war, musste aufgrund der Verordnungen teilweise bis zum Frühjahr dieses Jahres warten, um den Kauf abzuwickeln. Auch wächst weiter die Angst vor einer Inflation und damit auch der Wunsch nach einer zukunftssicheren Kapitalanlage in Form einer rentablen Immobilie. Die könnte man sich sicher auch woanders zulegen, doch 300 Sonnentage im Jahr und 25 Grad im Dezember - diesen Lebensstil findet man nicht vielerorts.
