Naomi Pescheux

PROPERTY CONSULTANT
Languages: English, French, Dutch, and Bahasa Indonesia
Originally from The Low Countries, I spent my childhood and teenage years living right here on the Cote d’Azur, where I graduated from the Centre International de Valbonne (CIV).

Curious about my Dutch roots, I moved to The Netherlands to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Hospitality Management in The Hague, followed by a Masters in Communication Science in Amsterdam. My years living in Northern Europe, gave me a deeper appreciation of “la dolce vita” of the South, and a longing for sunshine, the summer symphony of crickets and long rosé-infused lunches with friends.

Following the successful completion of my studies I spent the next decade living and working in South-East-Asia and the Middle East (Laos, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, The Philippines, and Oman). I worked primarily in the Events Management Industry specializing in Marketing and Sponsorship Sales, as well as Media Sales. During this chapter of my life, I was swept off my feet by a charming Frenchman living in Laos. We became engaged in South Africa soon after, and a few years later were blessed with the birth of our two children Ben and Zoë who were both born on the island of Java, in Indonesia.

During my years spent abroad, I developed a love for textiles and interiors which resulted in the creation of my own brand of home furnishing items, DUDUK; made in Indonesia and sold in boutiques all over the world.

In 2018, the family decided it was time to put down some roots for our children in a part of the world that both I and my husband Julien felt connected with, so it was back to the iconic Cote d’Azur. With the help of Fine & Country, we chose a small holiday home in the Village of Le Tignet, just 35 minutes from Cannes.

In 2020, with the family in tow, we moved back to the South of France after more than twenty years of living all over the world. My life-long knowledge of the area, fluency in multiple languages, good people skills and love of beautiful homes and interiors led me to get in touch with the team at Fine & Country again to explore the possibility of working with them in Real Estate.

As it happened, Chris and Alice were looking to expand their team with a Property Consultant in the Grasse back country. More specifically, in the up-and-coming area of “les Cinq Communes” (Cabris, Saint-Cezaire-sur-Siagne, Peymeinade, Speracedes, and Le Tignet). Having spent the last three summers getting to know and love that area, I was eager to get started.

I took to Real Estate like a duck to water and I love nothing more than whizzing around windy little roads, discovering new properties and meeting with clients from around the world, and helping them discover the area and find their future home.

As a people person, the most important part of the job for me is helping to take the stress away for both property owners and buyers because I understand that buying and selling a home is always a big decision and the prospect can be daunting. For me, the most important part of my job is therefore helping to make the process as easy and transparent as possible for buyers, and for the property owners looking to sell their homes too. I will always go the extra mile endeavoring to offer my clients a truly premium service.

I have an instinctive and practiced eye for properties and will help home seekers to find that rare gem they are looking for. Having cultivated a strong network of local agents I am always eager to collaborate with others, thus giving my clients access to the widest selection of properties possible. I can also assist new homeowners to get off the ground with a team of reliable local contacts (cleaners, pool, and garden maintenance and so on).

My Top-5 favourite things to do in the area include:

1) Strolling around the weekly Saturday market in Saint-Cezaire-sur-Siagne sampling local, seasonal produce to bring home and cook a tasty meal for friends and family.

2) Taking my Paddle-board onto the gorgeous turquoise waters of the Lac-de-Saint-Cassien in the Estérel hills in the early hours of summer, when it is cool and quiet.

3) Scavenging for mushrooms in Caussol in autumn followed by lunch with friends in the cozy Auberge de Caussol.

4) Driving up to Greoliere-les-Neiges in the winter for a day of skiing or cross-country skiing only 50 minutes away from home and enjoying a picnic at the top of the slopes, and the amazing views of the sea.

5) Hiking in the hills of Tanneron and Auribeau-sur-Siagne during the height of the Mimosa season, in early February when the hillsides burst into a sea of yellow, a sign from nature that spring is just around the corner.
