Autumn Housing Market Report: West Midlands Region

Key Statistics

In the West Midlands region, the average property price is £631,577, which represents a 1.59% annual change. The premium price threshold in West Midlands is £474,000, which means that the top 5% of sales in the region were above this figure. Over the last 12 months the average price per square foot has been around £319. The total value of sales over the past year has been £2.1 billion with 187 sales at or over £1 million.

The West Midlands Premium Market

While some areas within the West Midlands have seen a decrease in the average property price, others have performed extremely well. Wolverhampton has seen the greatest change with a staggering 20% annual increase in price, followed by Lichfield with a 19% average price increase and Hereford increasing by 10% in the last 12 months.

The highest premium threshold in the West Midlands is in Hereford at £531,000, with Lichfield not far behind at £525,000.
