Summer Housing Market Report: North West Region

Key Statistics

In the North West region, the average price of property is £570,843, which represents a marginal -0.06% annual change. The premium price threshold in the North West is £419,000, which means that the top 5% of sales in the region were above this figure. Over the last 12 months the average price per square foot has been around £302. The total value of sales over the past year has been £3.07 billion with 274 sales at or over £1 million.

The North West Premium Market

While some areas within the North West have seen a decrease in the average property price, others have performed extremely well. Blackburn has seen a 5% annual increase, the average price in Rochdale has increased by 3%, Blackpool and Liverpool have both increased by 2%, and Stockport has increased by 1%.

The highest premium threshold in the North West is in Stockport at £661,000, with Manchester not far behind at £583,000.
