Summer Housing Market Update: East Midlands

Key Statistics

In the East Midlands region, the average house price was £562,429, which represents a -0.54% annual change. The premium price threshold in the East Midlands is £435,000, which means that the top 5% of sales in the region were above this figure. Over the last 12 months the average price per square foot has been around £275. The total value of sales over the past year has been £1.99 billion with 120 sales at or over £1 million.

The East Midlands Premium Market

While some areas in the East Midlands have seen a decrease in the average property price, others have performed extremely well. Mansfield has seen a 12% annual increase, the average price in Loughborough has increased by 6%, Derby has increased by 5% and Northampton has increased by 3%.

The highest premium threshold in the East Midlands is in Northampton at £511,000 and the second highest is Loughborough with a threshold of £475,000.
