Littleover is a very popular multi-cultural suburb of Derby within easy reach of the City Centre, and offers fantastic amenities within its own shopping area located just off Burton Road. There are supermarkets, boutique shops, takeaways pubs, social clubs and restaurants all located within the suburb.
The White Swan public house and The Half Moon are two of the centrally located hostelries with many more dotted across the area. The area is also really well known for its schooling. There are many good rated Primary Schools whilst for secondary schooling Derby Moor Academy and Littleover school are both rated as outstanding. For private schooling you have Derby Grammar school (Boys) and Derby High School (Girls) and ease of access into Repton & Foremarke Schools also.

From terraced streets, surrounded by more traditional 1930’s onwards homes, all the way through to modern housing estates such as Heatherton Village. There are many large period homes and Keats Avenue and Chain Lane, along with Burton Road have many individual period and contemporary homes sat on large plots.
There are nearby leisure facilities to include Mickleover Golf Course, Lawn Tennis Courts and a Bowls club off Littleover Lane and an array of public spaces and parks such as Sunnydale Park and King George V playing fields. And the countryside is also a stone through away from the suburb making this an ideal location for many buyers.
House prices in the area held up well across 2018. The Zoopla Z index reported a modest increase of 0.87% across the year but transaction remained high with 618 transactions across the year and of these Semi-Detached homes were in highest demand and increased in value by 1.5%
This is a great location to buy if you are looking for the convenience of commuting with access to the A38 and A50 and from here you can easily commute to London from Derby Central railway Station or even Lichfield Trent Valley in just over an hour.
