“We moved here in 2001 because we fell in love with the place the moment we saw it. It was so well built and looked after that there was nothing we needed to do to it and the fact that we were so near the town, the seafront and local schools and yet the area was so quiet, peaceful and private made it somewhere really special. We actually own the whole access drive in Bromstone Place although the other two properties have a right of way over it.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here and over the years we have upgraded the bathrooms as well as converting the conservatory into a bar – where we spend many a happy evening. The house has been a superb family home as well as a great place for entertaining and we shall really miss it. However the children have all left home and we think it is time to downsize.

Broadstairs is a lovely town with a wide variety of individual shops, beaches, bars and restaurants as well as annual events such as Folk Week, the Dicke...

You could drive down Bromstone Road in Broadstairs for many years and not realise that the private enclave of three select and distinctive detached properties, discreetly hidden from the main road in Bromstone Place, actually exists. The loft is boarded with lighting and, as it runs the length of the house, it provides plenty of additional storage facilities.

The rear garden is like an additional room designed for entertaining. This secluded space backs on to an orchard and includes a wraparound terrace with a number of patio areas where you can sit and relax listening to the myriad of birds from parakeets to woodpeckers or just enjoy a barbecue with friends and family. It also is very much a mixture of ‘old and new’ as original flint walls and ‘steps to nowhere’ in what was part of the original Bromstone Manor kitchen garden mingle happily with a raised decked terrace and delightful shrubs and flower beds.
