Tunbridge Wells is about 15 miles to the north with the coastal town of Eastbourne about 14 miles to the south. The County Town of Lewes is about 15 miles and Brighton about 26 miles away.
The area is well served by a variety of state and private schools and there are a number of golf courses and other leisure facilities in the vicinity whether its riding in the Ashdown Forest, sailing at Bewl Water or taking in an Opera at Glyndebourne.
