There is a large open-plan kitchen that flows through to a comfortable sitting area overlooking the garden, and that’s a great space for day-to-day family life, but there’s also a huge separate sitting room, which really comes into its own when you’re entertaining. The current owners have added a first-floor extension so there are now four well-proportioned bedrooms, including a rather impressive master with a very large en-suite bathroom, which is a lovely retreat at the end of the day. All in all it’s the perfect family home.

We bought the property twelve years ago and I’d say that it was everything about the house and the location that sold it to us. It was back then and it still is my dream home.
One of the features that I’m really going to miss when we move is the garden. It was beautifully designed by a previous owner so apart from keeping it well maintained, we haven’t had to do an awful lot to it. We have a huge patio terrace, from which steps lead down to a large lawn that’s edged with mature trees and shrubs that not only look absolutely lovely, but they also create a natural screen so the garden is totally private. It’s a gorgeous space and when I sit out there enjoying the utter peace and tranquillity I find it hard to believe that I’m just a few miles from the city centre of London.
