The quaint hamlet and harbour of Porlock Weir is approximately three miles and West Somerset's premier coastal resort of Minehead which has a more comprehensive range of shopping facilities is approximately six miles. The County town of Taunton which has mainline rail connections and access to the motorway network is approximately thirty miles to the east.
