Favourite Room: “My favourite part of the house is definitely the open-plan kitchen-and-family room,” says the owner. “It’s just a really sociable space in which we can cook, chat, eat and entertain.”

Favourite aspect of surrounding area: “Burton Pedwardine is a very small hamlet that’s surrounded by virtually nothing but open farmland, so it’s very peaceful here and the views are just lovely,” says the owner. “It’s very rural, but we’ve never felt cut off. Heckington, which has a Co-op and a couple of takeaways, is only five minutes up the road and we can be in nearby Sleaford in around ten minutes. We also have some excellent schools in the local area so it’s a fantastic place to bring up a family.”

Memorable event/Unique feature: It’s a great house in the summer and it feels equally good in the winter when we turn down the central heating and use the log burner and the house feels very cosy.

Why they are leaving: “The children have flown the nest and so we simply don’t need all of this space, but it’s going to be such a wrench to leave,” says the owner. “I’ve loved living here and I’ve absolutely no doubt that its new owners will too.”

The property is conveniently located for accessing the A17, A15 and A52. The pretty market town of Sleaford, which enjoys a variety of shops and eateries is located approximately 4 miles away.
