Originally three bungalows were built atop a hill overlooking this slice of the English Countryside. Passing by the garage to your left you turn into the driveway and look up to 'Hillview'. The front garden has been levelled in places to create three tiers, the bottom level has been utilised as a kitchen garden and the next two have been predominantly laid to lawn but with mature shrub and flower borders.

Originally a small two bedroomed bungalow the house has been extended full width to the rear and above into the loft. Two double bedrooms can be found as you enter the hallway immediately to the right. The first bedroom has dual aspects to the front and side whilst the second bedroom has windows also overlooking the side, both have built in wardrobes. These rooms have been occupied by children but in the bungalows former guise would have been the main bedrooms for its elderly occupants. Back in the entrance hallway a staircase can be found leading to the first floor where the main two bedrooms plus two bathrooms are situated, but before that stepping left you enter the main lounge. Originally the kitchen and living space, these two rooms have been opened up to provide a good sitting room. Now benefitting from french doors overlooking the view to the front, an abundance of light flows in making for a very pleasant bright space. A door now leads to the rear hallway into the extended portion of the property. Space for all the assumed appliances can be found, and there is a separate utility room which houses the washing machine, tumble dryer and boiler. Beyond the utility a downstairs shower room is situated complete with wash hand basin and WC; having this so close to the utility room and its side door has proved very useful.
To the first floor as previously mentioned the loft has been extended to create two very good sized double bedrooms both with windows facing south west with fantastic views of the paddocks and hills beyond. The master bedroom comes complete with its own dressing area and an en-suite shower room; the immersion and hot water tank can also be accessed from here. The second bedroom though slightly smaller still benefits from built in wardrobes and sole use of the family bathroom which comprises of a bath, wash hand basin and WC. What I also really like on the first floor is the size of the landing; a window overlooks the rear garden and there is plenty of space for a chair and computer desk.

Outside, the rear garden in the main has been lawned with flower borders, however there is a nice seating terrace in which to enjoy the sunshine. A path leads up the large summer house which helps store all the garden furniture, but equally could be used as a childs play area or home office. You can reach the garden from either side of the house however the side door from the utlity room is most commonly used. To the front of the property there is also a covered but open area which is a great space to enjoy the views whilst being protected from the sun.

Overall this is a very flexible house, greatly and lovingly enhanced by the current owners and utilised for the past twenty years as a family home. The main town of Uckfield is just a couple of miles away with its supermarkets, cinema and coffee shops; further afield Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells are in easy reach. There is an array of good and excellent state and private schools within walking/driving distance, and in terms of outdoor pursuits you are on the doorstep of the Ashdown Forest.
