The business has been run successfully since 1990, purchased by the current owners in 2016 with numerous refurbishments and improvements undertaken. The name Ffynnon Grog roughly translates to mean ‘Well of the Holy Cross’, with Mwnt taking its name from the steep hill called Foel Y Mwnt. The Grade 1 listed white church nestled on the cliff above the beach is known as Eglwys y Grog (Church of the Holy Cross) and dates from around the 13th century. The church has a connection to the main house at FFynon Grog as in 1815, the nave of the roof was raised by Mr Williams who lived at Ffynnon Grog and was the Church Warden.
Ffynnon Grog Cottages are uniquely situated in nearly 20 acres of its own coastal land on the Ceridigion coast approximately ½ mile from the delightful National Trust beach of Mwnt. Ideally located near the well known and much loved coastal path providing beautiful walks with breath taking views from the headlands to hidden coves, cliffs and harbours, Nearby are many other local beaches such as Poppit Sands, Llangranog, Cwmtydu, Ceibwr Bay, Tresaith, Aberporth and Penbyrn. Local attractions include Cardigan Castle and Guildhall Market, The Welsh Wildlife centre, boat trips to spot dolphins and seals in Cardigan Bay and a host of small villages and towns to visit and enjoy.
Cardigan, a quaint and bustling market town, is within 10 mins drive. It has a wide variety of local shops, a grocery super store, doctors, dentists and the usual high street facilities. Carmarthen is approximately 1 hour away with a wider range of facilities with access to the A40 joining the M4 motorway to Swansea and Cardiff beyond. The university town of Aberystwyth is also within easy access providing additional facilities and a lovely seafront promenade. Road, rail and sea links are excellent.

Exposed stone walls & beams with a compact, well equipped kitchen, modern shower room, upstairs double bedroom in the eaves with a window looking out to sea.
Bay Cottage is the original property at Ffynnon Grog Holiday Cottages, the site dates back to the 12th century and the Flemish invasion of Mwnt. Modernised over the years yet still full of character with original period features that include a inglenook fireplace with log burner, beamed ceilings and original wood floors, plus a patio for al fresco dining and a small private woodland garden.
The open plan family room / kitchen features a huge inglenook fireplace with wood burner where you can enjoy tales of the day’s adventures whilst cooking, eating and relaxing. Ground floor twin bedroom with a family bathroom and two further bedrooms featuring countryside views on the upper level.
