Barking Tye is an extremely popular hamlet and lies just 2 miles from the popular town of Needham Market. Needham Market lies in the heart of Mid Suffolk between the towns of Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich, and is served by rail services hourly to Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket & Cambridge. The property is located within easy walking distance of the Barking Fox Pub where they offer food and regular music as well as to the village hall which hosts regular community events. The property is also within easy driving distance of Stowmarket, from where main line rail services run regularly to London Liverpool Street Station. The A14 which bypasses the town provides direct links to Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge and the Midlands, as well as to London and Stansted Airports via the M11. Stowmarket itself provides a wide range of local shops and educational and commercial facilities.

 

DIRECTIONS Leave the A14 at junction 51 and follow Kettle Lane (B1078) into Needham Market under a low bridge. Then turn almost immediately into Lion Lane. At the junction of Ipswich Road turn right and then immediately left by the Lion public house onto Grimston Hill. At the junction with Barking Road (B1078) turn left. On entering the village of Barking Tye, continue past Barking Forge on the left, after which The Old School House will be found on the right hand.
