In More Detail
With its luminous villa style façade this delightful property stands loftily behind white walls with ornamental sphere and pier cap posts. Discreet side access via a striking wooden stable front door is the entrance into this charming home. A practical glazed porch offers the perfect place to leave all those walking boots and umbrellas and leads through into the main hallway.
The property offers extremely spacious, light accommodation, lots of character and the most amazing views. Neutral décor is utilised throughout to accentuate the warm tones of the wood flooring and reflect the home’s abundance of natural light. Internal space extends to approximately 2,210 square feet arranged over three floors.
GROUND FLOOR - On the ground floor, from the central hallway, the expansive, double aspect living/dining room sits at the front of the property enjoying far-reaching south-westerly views to the ocean. Framed within an imposing picture window an ever-changing landscape of sea, greenery and the local community forms the backdrop to this relaxing, peaceful family room. Bathed in light and tastefully decorated, the space benefits from a Victorian fireplace with stone surround, some stylish built in storage options and gorgeous parquet flooring. There is a serene contemporary feel with classic detailing and lateral flow. The dining area sits beautifully to the far end of the space with access through glazed French doors onto the anterior balconied terrace, which it conveniently shares with the kitchen. The terrace is laid to white porcelain tiles and has a wrought iron balustrade with frosted glass surround for privacy then an electric retractable canopy for shade. The perfect place to chill and enjoy al fresco breakfasts or afternoon cocktails in the summer months while taking in the spectacular views.
Adjacent to the reception room, sharing the pretty terrace, is the fully fitted contemporary kitchen with underfloor heating. Again, its double aspect ensures a bright sunny cook space, with the white high gloss units and cool toned floor tiling sparkling in the reflected light. The wood units are set against pale blue Corian work surfaces with a lustrous broken mirror effect finish, which enhances the natural illumination. Clean lines and crisp minimalism define the room. There is an impressive Rangemaster cooker and hob, larder style units incorporating a large American fridge freezer, a wine cooler and plenty of room for a central island or table. A built in seating area for café style breakfast dining has made clever use of corner space.
Both of these south-west facing family rooms enjoy the most stunning views over the park down to the coast, what better way to inspire mealtimes.
Two generously proportioned bedrooms are located to the rear of the ground floor, enjoying walk-in wardrobes, en suite bathrooms/shower rooms and access to the rear garden terraces. On entry to the primary bedroom, steps with inset lighting lead down into a sumptuous space comprising a sleeping area flooded with natural light from a roof lantern skylight, engineered wood flooring, walk-in dressing room and en suite luxury bathroom furnished with a combination of honeyed mosaic and white tiling. A set of double glazed doors open onto a tiled terraced area, which then extends into the fabulous multipurpose gardens. An added detail to this luxe bedroom is a corner wood burning stove, perfect for those chilly months.
From the entrance hall there is also access to a utility room and guest WC and a useful study is situated around the feature metal and glass tread spiral staircase.
FIRST FLOOR - The upper storey of the property is home to a third double bedroom with luxury bathroom suite and plenty of eaves storage. Views from this level are simply stunning. A perfect room for a teenager who wants to escape to their own space.
LOWER GROUND FLOOR – On the lower ground floor level of the property, front facing, is a fourth good-sized bedroom with sweet porthole windows. This room enjoys plenty of space an en suite cloakroom and its own privacy and entrance and has the potential for a multitude of uses. Behind the fourth bedroom suite is a large storage room and adjacent is the garage.
Externally to the rear of the property there is a secluded and beautifully presented garden planted with mature trees and shrubs and a plethora of colourful flowers, all bordering a lush lawn perfect for children’s play. The garden is landscaped to include a variety of outdoor decks and terraces. The two main bedrooms enjoy paved terraces immediately outside their doors, perfect for café style tables and chairs or relaxing outdoor furnishings.
One corner of the garden is decked to form an al fresco dining area, however arguably the most popular space is the outdoor bar, a club style chilling deck complete with a fully equipped bar and space for sofas and bar stools, all ready for that café del mar experience; there is also an outdoor gas fire feature to accommodate the colder weather. The bar itself is fitted with a remote controlled retractable shutter for security. Outdoor mood and directional lighting has been installed to illuminate the various areas of this stunning garden. It really is the most delightful entertaining space for family, friends, neighbours and anyone else who is lucky enough to get an invite.
To the front of the property there is hard standing off road parking, access to the garage and a small lawned area.
