“I bought this amazing property in 2005 as a family home as  we realised it was something very special in a stunning location. Over the years we thoroughly enjoyed it as a family home but in 2012 we decided to turn it into a very sophisticated bed and breakfast as well as a wedding venue. It proved very popular and we had two licensed rooms for ceremonies as well as a restaurant, bar and tea room. We could seat 65 guests for a wedding in the house or have room for 200 in a marquee in the garden.  However in recent times it has reverted to being a home for family members but we now feel that, owing to my deteriorating health and the next generation flying the nest, it is now too big for us and we would like another family to enjoy it as much as we have. Whether someone is looking for the ultimate and unique seafront home or would like to develop a business, this fabulous historic property can provide a variety of amazing opportunities.  Broadstairs is a delightful place to live and as a holiday retreat. It includes a number of beautiful sandy beaches from the picturesque Viking Bay and Louisa Bay to the Blue Flag Stone Bay and Joss Bay with its surfing centre. There are lovely clifftop walks and cyclists can enjoy some or all of the Viking Trail from Ramsgate to Reculver. Golfing enthusiasts can play at the renowned North Foreland Golf Club on the outskirts of Broadstairs, while other sports including tennis, bowls, rugby and cricket that are played at clubs in the town. As a Victorian seaside town steeped in history there are annual events such as the Dickens Festival, Folk Week, Gala Day and the Food Fair as well as impressive firework displays. Another advantage of Broadstairs is that it includes some very good private and grammar schools and the station can whisk you to London on the high speed train in under an hour and a half. Apart from that, if you are looking for a bit of serious retail therapy there is the nearby Westwood Cross shopping centre as well as a casino and the Vue cinema complex.
