SELLERS INSIGHT When we first viewed the property we knew it was going to be a project for us and could see the potential to create a beautiful cottage. The whole house now has a very welcoming feel. We will miss the peace and quiet, the cosy atmosphere, and the local parks and walks. The sitting room is definitely a favourite room in the home, with lots of character and log burner which is extremely cosy. We have enjoyed relaxing in the garden on warm days, having barbecues and enjoying the peacefulness. The garden room is great to find some shade on a hot and sunny day. The location is fabulous as we are surrounded by countryside. We have transformed this cottage from a dull property into a bright, airy, and cosy family home. We have done so many improvements and have thoroughly enjoyed restoring this lovely home.
STEP INSIDE The immense character here at Mill House is apparent from the off and is a feast for the eyes! You can see the love and time that has been put into making this a warm and welcoming family home. Stepping into the property from the pretty front garden there is a lobby with doors to the formal sitting room and to the dining room. The sitting room is full of character features with exposed beams, wood and brick flooring, and a stunning inglenook fireplace with wood-burning stove. This is a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing room. Back across the lobby and into the dining room you will see a wealth of original features. This has been an area much used by the current owners for entertaining friends and family dinners. The well designed kitchen/breakfast room flows on seamlessly from the dining room. This is the hub of the home and one where the family spend much of their time. This attractive room is a pretty as a picture and has been finished to a very high standard with a central island, breakfast bar, plenty of storage, wood preparation surfaces, and a separate utility plus boot room. From the kitchen there is a door out into the stair area, and this is where the beautifully refitted family bathroom is situated.
The first floor has four comfortable and inviting bedrooms. Bedroom four leads on from bedroom three so you could have this as a dressing room or add an en-suite. There are beams, exposed brickwork, and wooden floors. This floor also has a separate WC and wash basin.
STEP OUTSIDE The property can be found on Mill Road just opposite the green in front of Jarrold Close. There is a driveway providing off road parking to the side, and a garage although this is more of a garden room "man cave" with bi-fold doors that open up with great views over the garden. It's a relaxing space for all the family to enjoy and great if you need to retreat to the shade during hot summer days. There is a large office in the garden which is very versatile and has various uses. The potential to convert to an annexe could be possible subject to the usual planning permissions. The garden is mainly laid with artificial lawned areas which is great for children and pets as super hardwearing. There are mature trees, shrubs and plants around the cottage, a low wall to the front and picket fencing around the parking area.
