Within a short distance is the mainline railway station at Bodmin Parkway that connects into London Paddington. The station can be accessed on foot via 'Station Walk', a pleasant level walk from the nearby respryn car park. Newquay Airport is approximately 18 miles away and has a number of scheduled flights to both domestic and international destinations.

Cross Cottage sits on a fork of two country lanes and is surrounded by manageable landscaped gardens designed for low maintenance. To the front of the property is the walled garden with the previosuly mentioned Celtic cross being a central feature.
