In this idyllic rural position, on the edge of The National Trust Lanhydrock Estate, Cross Cottage is perfectly situated to explore the picturesque riverside and woodland walks around Respryn and the River Fowey. Respryn is almost equidistant between the north and south coasts and the cottage is ideally positioned to access many renowned sandy beaches and historic coastal towns such as Padstow, Fowey, Charlestown and Port Isaac. The Camel Trail passes through Bodmin and follows the route of the old railway into Wadebridge and beyond to Padstow. To the east is stunning scenery of Bodmin Moor.
Within a short distance is the mainline railway station at Bodmin Parkway that connects into London Paddington. The station can be accessed on foot via 'Station Walk', a pleasant level walk from the nearby respryn car park. Newquay Airport is approximately 18 miles away and has a number of scheduled flights to both domestic and international destinations.
Cross Cottage sits on a fork of two country lanes and is surrounded by manageable landscaped gardens designed for low maintenance. To the front of the property is the walled garden with the previosuly mentioned Celtic cross being a central feature. This area is finished in chippings and has a lovely array of mature plants and shrubs. Across the lane form the cottage is The Piggery, a single storey one bedroom holiday let. the property is accessed through a high gate which leads through to the granite paved seating area with a few steps up to a raised lawn bounded by beech hedging to one side. The property comprises an open plan living room/ kitchen with vaulted ceiling, large velux window and wood burner to one end. To the other end is a kitchenette comprising fitted floor units with worktop over with sink, two ring electric hob and space for a firdge. Off her eis a double bedroom with opeing thorugh to a lobby where the hot water storage cylinder is located and beyond here is a fully tiled shower room.

From Bodmin take the B3268 towards Lostwithiel until you reach the Lanhydrock roundabout. Turn left here and continue for a short distance befroe taking the next right hand tirning towards Respryn. At the end of this road turn right and head down the hill, go over the bridge at Respryn and Cross Cottage will be found a little way along in the fork in the road.
