Having seen about 35 properties along the south east coastline we immediately fell in love with Regency Cottage and bought it on the spot. However we now feel it is time to pass it on to another family as our children have grown up and are spreading their wings and also feel that it would make a wonderful permanent family home. During our time here we have enjoyed upgrading it and creating a really special place to relax in whatever the time of year. In the summer the pool, the beach and the outdoor kitchen and barbecue area all come into their own, while it looks absolutely stunning ‘dressed overall’ for Christmas and is where in the past we have hosted numerous parties for friends and family.


It is a lovely part of the world and there are some excellent bars and restaurants in nearby Hythe or Folkestone as well as a number of individual shops and supermarkets including Waitrose and Sainsbury’s in Hythe. We are not far from the Hotel Imperial with its golf course and leisure centre as well as the local cricket, squash and tennis clubs. For real golfing aficionados there is the Henry Cotton designed Sene Valley golf club and sailing enthusiasts can join the Hythe Sailing Club. The area also has some well respected primary schools including Sandgate Primary that is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and there are two excellent grammar schools in Folkestone and private schools in Canterbury, Ashford and Dover. Transport links are very good with the high speed train from Folkestone West getting you to London in less than an hour while it is only about a five minute drive to the M20 for London and the Channel Tunnel if you want to pop over to the Continent”.
