The historic and county town of Lewes lies about 10 miles to the west, providing a mainline train service to London (London Bridge/Victoria about 64 minutes). The coastal, business and entertainment centres of Eastbourne and Brighton & Hove are approximately 12 miles and 17 miles respectively. Glyndebourne is about 8 miles.
