As you face the property you are immediately struck by its unique facade, you would be forgiven for thinking this house is much older and the 'eyebrow' roof line above the garage is particularly unusual. Entering through the solid oak studded front door there is a small porchway which has been added recently, this opens nicely into the reception hall which sets the scene for things to come. One thing the current owners were keen to ensure was an open plan feel throughout the house. Non structural walls have been knocked down to create the reception hall which is a light and bright space currently occupied in part by a grand piano.
To the left double doors open into the drawing room; this triple aspect space has high ceilings and stained oak beams, a lovely inglenook fireplace and double doors leading straight out onto the rear terrace in addition to double doors which open through into the formal dining room. The dining room connects with the kitchen and the garden by two further sets of double doors and can comfortably accomodate a large dining table in which to entertain family and friends on those special occasions. You continue through into the kitchen which truly is the heart of the home. with a wide range of wall and base units this bespoke kitchen features granite worktops, a breakfast bar, an Aga with companion electric double oven and gas hobs. The stylish kitchen has a few hidden extras including a wine fridge and cooler, a water filter and a macerator. The kitchen has been extended to include a further dining/breakfast space; this boasts a vaulted ceiling and further character beams. In the warmer months the doors can be opened onto the veranda which is a perfect breakfast spot with views over the rear garden. It is here you will find the Grant combi boiler plus the water tank for the sprinkler system. Some of the units from the old kitchen have also been recycled to create useful work surfaces and cupboards. There is another side door and also worth mentioning is the gardeners lavatory which can be accessed from the side return.

An attractive dog leg staircase rises to the first floor and opens out onto the most wonderful landing. As with the reception hall walls have been removed to create an amazing office/library/lounge space the likes of which we have never seen. Due to the loft extension and the additional bedrooms created the current owners have transformed this landing into a really useful and useable room. Above the drawing and dining rooms is the master suite with a juliette balcony overlooking the rear garden. There is an array of built in wardrobes on either side of the chimney breast and additionally a lovely walk in dressing room but the real feature is the his and hers en-suites. Yes, two en-suites! One situated at the front of the house with a bath and separate shower cubicle, heated mirrors, wash hand basin and wc. The other through the dressing room which has a large walk in shower wash hand basin and wc. Completing the first floor are two further bedrooms currently used for guests on the other side of the library. Lastly a second staircase rises to the top floor which boasts two further double bedrooms and an extra home office. Velux windows ensure a great transfer of light which couples nicely with the vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. Whilst one of the bedrooms has a private en-suite bathroom there is also a 'jack and jill' shower room which is nestled between the other bedroom and the office.

Externally i have already mentioned the plot being a great size of two thirds of an acre which includes a fantastic long rear garden. This well manicured garden gently slopes down away from the house and is predominantly laid to lawn interspersed with flower beds and shrub borders. At the bottom of the garden there is a lightly wooded area with an ornamental pond and a summer house.
