LOCATION - ASTON & STEVENAGE
Aston is a delightful village, it has a long history with the flourishing St Mary's church being mentioned in the Domesday Book. It is a lively village with many varied clubs and societies (cricket, tennis, table tennis, film, bowls, art, bridge, Pilates studio, badminton, WI…). It has a primary school, pre-school, village hall and a pub. The school has an Ofsted grade of 'Outstanding', takes children from reception to year 6 and has 120 pupils. Aston is located on a ridge between Stevenage and the Beane valley. You feel in the countryside in Aston and it's perfect if you are a walker, have a dog, or just love countryside views. There is a branch of Sainsbury's just 10 minutes' walk away on a footpath across the fields and you are also just a few minutes' drive from Stevenage.

Stevenage is 28 miles north of London and lies on the A1(M) that links the North and South of England. The closest towns to Stevenage are Hertford, Ware, Letchworth Garden City, Hitchin and Welwyn Garden City. There are two distinct areas to Stevenage, the 'Old Town' and the 'New Town', both offer a great range of shops with a combination of independent stores and national brands. Stevenage was designated the first 'New Town' under the UK's New Town Act in 1946.
