I have always loved the location, a group of pretty period houses very close to the Lowden Farm shop and garden centre, within walking distance of fine dining at the Pear tree in Whitley and the Toast Office � a lovely caf� and post office combined, and the Italian pub, the Vello d�Oro. The village is great, with a school and a very active community - a runner�s group, reading group, gardening group, and friendly neighbours. When our cat went missing in the summer everyone came to help join the search!�

�The house offers an idyllic way of life. My favourite room is the sitting room/dining room which is a light room which is dual aspect with views over the front and back gardens. As it is an eighteenth century building (but not listed) there are lots of period features including the chimney breasts. There is a log burner in here, so it is a lovely space to snuggle up with a book. The kitchen is a practical space, but, subject to consents, could be incorporated into the sitting room/ dining room to make one large room. Both the kitchen and dining room have doors leading out to the conservatory, which, as the garden is south facing is a lovely sunny spot to sit and look at the garden.�

�Upstairs is a modern bathroom with white suite. The master bedroom has gorgeous views over the fields. There are two further double bedrooms on this floor, one of which has a fireplace, and both have views over the front garden. All the bedrooms have excellent built in storage. On the top floor is the attic bedroom which has an en suite bathroom. We installed a new condensing combi-boiler in July 2019.�

�A five bar gate with red brick pillars either side opens on to the garden at the front of the house and there is a shingle driveway with plenty of off road parking. The double garage, which has power and light and a w.c and hand basin could be converted, subject to relevant consents, into Airbnb accommodation as the plumbing is already there and parking could be separated off. This location is highly sought after because it is a straight run into Bath, which is only 9.7 miles away, or Chippenham station is only 8 miles away and an hour to London on the fast train.�

�The conservatory doors lead out to a natural stone patio and a really pretty garden with David Austin roses, alliums, pink and white poppies and lilacs. There is an archway with a trellis gate opening to a what used to be a paddock which is laid to lawn and has a garden shed, and greenhouse. We have a bench there which is in the perfect spot to relax and look at the sunset.�

�This has been a brilliant location to enjoy going for lovely dog walks, pottering over to Lowden farm shop for fantastic fresh local produce, or walking across the fields to the Pear Tree, but with excellent access to Bath, Melksham, Corsham and Chippenham. It really has been the best of both worlds.�
