Owners Comments - Located a few miles north of Shrewsbury in the Shropshire village of Hadnall, this extended 1930s detached home sits set back from the road in large peaceful gardens overlooking beautiful countryside. Occupying an excellent position in the village, local amenities can be reached by foot, however, Shrewsbury, Chester, Birmingham and a number of other locations are an easy commute. Owner Isobel has lived here for 10-years; 'I saw huge potential in this house and have fully opened up several rooms to create generous living space and an impressive entrance area, something which creates a great flow from the moment you enter. I re-built triple garages at the top of the driveway and filled in a large disused swimming pool to create a new open-plan kitchen/diner with a formal lounge, both have underfloor heating. I've made sure there's plenty of utility space with a separate back-kitchen-come-pantry. The large garden is fully landscaped with a delightful Mediterranean style patio and dining area with built-in white stone sofas. Hadnall is a prime village location with a strong community feel benefitting from a shop, post office, pub, bar, restaurant and school. You really get the sense of living in the country with a number of lovely walking routes nearby, including the Shropshire Way, yet you can hop on the bus and be in beautiful Shrewsbury in no time. You'd certainly be hard pushed to find a village that could compete with Hadnall.'
'The house is well-appointed; it's light and airy yet cosy and warm, especially when the two log-burners are roaring away. The grounds are vast but not unmanageable with views looking out over open fields to the side and a large natural pool/pond with plenty of wildlife at the front. We get the most wonderful sunsets at Hillview and with seating areas at both the rear, side and front you get to fully enjoy the garden.'
'I love how private it feels but equally, I've had peace of mind knowing there are friendly helpful neighbours nearby. It's very peaceful considering how much action there is beyond the gates in the centre of the village.'
'I'll miss everything about the house and its wonderful grounds. It's a fantastic home for relaxing and entertaining which has given me such happy memories. I am looking to stay in the village which I think says a lot about the place.'
