We fell in love with Chesworth Farm at first sight. A beautiful home in an ancient and unique village in the countryside.

 

In the 1800’s, our fields were known as Summer Lane and Smithy Croft. Whilst two-hundred years ago crops were grown, our horses spend their days exploring them.

 

Following conversion from a farm building forty-years ago, over the last two decades, the building has undergone further sympathetic restoration and improvement. There is a wonderful feeling of warmth, circumvented by the 4.2 acres, with the original puddled pond dating back to the days of the working farm.

 

We love the long sweeping drive and the privacy, although nestled right within the village. The layout flows effortlessly with well-proportioned, light and airy rooms encapsulated with oak and the beautiful sandstone. It has great character and charm, and, is incredibly comfortable for daily living and entertaining, making a unique and beautiful home.

 

The gardens are an ever-changing array of year-round colour, and a wonderful and safe place for our daughter to play and explore. The Dutch barn, stabling and floodlit ménage are superb leading to the backdrop of unobstructed farmland. There is no doubt we will all miss, not only a beautiful, but also, a very happy home.
